The Fourth Congressional District of New Jersey stretches east to west across the width of the state, running from the Hamilton border with Trenton in the west to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in the east, with gorgeous coastline running south from Bradley Beach all the way to Bay Head. Further inland, New Jersey’s 4th District runs from the pinelands of Manchester Township all the way to the commerce, transit and population hub of Middletown.
The Fourth District is remarkable for it’s geographic beauty and diversity. It contains bustling and vibrant urban communities in towns like Red Bank, Neptune, Freehold Borough and Lakewood, as well as picaresque, wide-open farmland and pinelands, found in places like Plumsted, Colts Neck, Howell and Manchester. Most places in the Fourth District, however, fall somewhere between the two, granting residents the unique mix of peace and quiet, world-class parks and educational systems, and recreational and business activity that makes central New Jersey one of the most desirable places to live in the United States. It also very well connected to the surrounding metropolitan area, with train stations or major transit hubs in Middletown, Hamilton, and Freehold Boro.
A few of the many notable places and attractions within the Fourth District are: Six Flags Great Adventure Theme Park & Safari in Jackson, Allaire State Park and the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell, the Point Pleasant Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, Monmouth Battlefield State Park in Manalapan, Blueclaws Stadium at First Energy Park in Lakewood, Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold Township, Veterans Memorial Park and the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton and the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.
The Fourth District also contains three significant military installations: Joint-Base McGuire-Dix Lakehurst, Naval Weapons Station Earle and the Sea Girt National Guard Training Center.
